Dominican Republic Tourist Visa Card US$10 fee will be added to the cost of air tickets

The US$10(Dollars) tourist card entry fee, normally paid upon arrival at the airport in the Dominican Republic, was included with the air tickets from 14 April 2018. If you purchased your ticket prior to or near that date, you'll likely have to pay for the US$10 at the airport so check with your airline prior to arrival.

Visitors are advised to have US$10(Dollars) cash per person to pay for the tourist card on arrival at the airport just in case it is not included in their ticket, until the new procedure is fully up and running in the months ahead. This new ruling should see a significantly smoother and less lengthy arrival process during the peak travel season in the Dominican Republic.
